Stenciling...

With a day off from work for Veteran's Day and the little one at daycare, I have spent the day cleaning up my studio, catching up on some promised sewing (yes, Beth I finally shortened your curtains you gave me two years ago) and started working on stenciling a denim jacket. So far I am pleased with the results of the painting. I am using Jaquard fabric paints in a mixture of russet and gold on the flowers and spruce and gold on the leaves. The paint has a soft look on the denim.
I am planning on adding some embroidered stems and branches to fill in the design along with some beading.

I have always wanted to try painting on a pair of jeans.. I just never really care for the stencils I find at the craft stores. You did a wonderful job.

Blessings...
