Winter is here and some big news......

Well, we are waiting for our first big snow storm of the year. Should hit us tonight and may dump up to 12 inches of snow. Ick.

Anyway, I have been busy this fall taking all sorts of classes and teaching a few. I have plenty of projects to finish up and keep me busy on the cold winter days. I have found my self knitting a bit more these days. I finished up a pair of fingerless mits and then started this scarf. Isn't the yarn just yummy, it is a wool silk blend.
I also ran across these stencils the other day. Something I picked up a year or so ago and have yet to use. They are from Laura Murray and I came up with a perfect project to try they out....

I found this denim jacket at the second hand shop a while back and it really needs a little embellishment. Time to dig out my fabric paints and try a little stenciling. I have a feeling there will be beads included in this project as well. Stay tuned.
And now for my really big news....the reason I have been feeling just yucky lately and have not had any energy to do anything creative is we are expecting our second baby in early May 2009. I am slowly getting past the morning sickness but ughh, it has been just awful this time around.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you for an easy pregnancy.

And I agree about that yarn being yummy ... I can almost feel the luscious softness of it.
