Blog Anniversary Giveaway

I always seem to forget to make special note of my blog anniversary.  I was actually reading another blog who mentioned their anniversary and though, hmmm I think I started blogging in April a few years ago.  Well in fact it was 5 years ago (April 10, 2006) that I started blogging.
Blogging for me has been a great way to share and journal my fiber projects.  I enjoy looking back on my blog to see the progress of my projects (and family) to see how they grow and change.  In the last five years the biggest change for me has been becoming a mom.  I started my family a little later than some not as late as others.  More than anything in my life,  these two little ones have changed me forever in the best possible way.

So for my blog-iversary, I am going to have 5 lucky winners who will have their choice of either my Mischief Makers a felted toddler Mary Jane knitting pattern or a copy of my Bead Embroidery Stitches pdf Booklet.  Both are in pdf format and will be sent electronically

Leave me a comment on this post by Sunday, April 30 and let me know which pattern you would prefer and what has been your biggest change/influence in the last 5 years.

My original comment disappeared! I would LOVE to win your bead embroidery booklet. The biggest change AND influence for me this past 5 years was learning about crazy quilting. I now view most of what I see in terms of CQ. Hence my choice of the bead embroidery booklet.

Here is another fan of crazy quilting that would like to win your bead embroidery boooklet. When I moved to the US I fell in love with traditional quilts, moved on to mostly Applique Quilts and finished the round with Art Quilts. Then I saw my first CQ quilt close up and was hooked.

Congratulations Amy on 5 years of blogging.
My fav is the beading stitches and the biggest change and influence for me over the last 5 years was the original invitation to Journal quilting. It started me on the road to art quilting and I haven't looked back.

Wonderful anniversary of 5 years!!! Congratulations.

What has been my biggest influence/change in the last 5 years? Wow. hmmm well my hubby went from a 60,000.00 a year job to a 30,000.00 that required us to simplify our lives. This really helped us to see how much our family really means to us. Having each other is always a good blessing when you lose everything around you. And a good reminder to me that family is not based on money or on how and where we live.

second is I was diagnosed with a brain tumor 8 months ago, I spent months confined in bed and now am mobile in home but not out. This has taught us to really be better organized in our home and sharing the responsibilities around our home.

All things have good results!

If I am fortunate enough to be one of the names pulled I would absolutely love to have the pdf copy of your Bead embroidery Stitches book. Oh so perfect for my CQing!

Hi Amy, congratulations on your 5 year blog anniversary! I'd love to have the Bead Embroidery pattern. The biggest influence in my art-life has been starting a business and teaching quilting arts--it makes me stretch my imagination to come up with really unique class samples and ideas to teach.

I'd love the bead embroidery booklet. The biggest change and influence for me has been the wonderful yarns that are available.
I crochet (no knitting) and the yarns that are available now are soft and drape well.
Congrats on the 5 yrs!

Amy, How truly wonderful that you have made the steps to Mom and have the most wonderfully beautiful hubby and children... and still have time for all of the work you do for all of us. I have been influenced most by becoming an Instructor in the Textile Design Diploma Program at St. Lawrence College and the interactions with the amazing students there. I would love the Bead Embroidery book for our lending Library.

Congratulations on your fifth blogiversary, Amy! I've scrolled through a few pages of your blog and enjoyed it very much. Those embroidered eggs are adorable! I started reading blogs a few years ago and started my own over two years ago and have to say that reading everyone's blogs that share progress of quilting and needlework projects has been a big influence on my progress. It's so much fun to read what others are doing. If you pick me, I'd love to have your Bead Embroidery booklet pdf. Thanks for counting me in.

Enjoy your blog, Amy. Biggest change in my life these past five years has to be the retirement of my husband and having him here 24/7! I would choose your slipper pattern. Wish I would have had something like that when my granddaughters were younger, but, hey...I have a second son getting married next year so there is still hope for me to us your pattern.
