Lemons in to Lemonade....

This whole flood mess has hung over us for the entire summer, and since I am a "glass half full" type of gal,  I have to put a positive spin on it.  So we took advantage of hauling out nearly all of our furniture and took the time to paint some of it on the way back in....

I have had this furniture for nearly 20 years,  bought it unfinished and always intended to paint it,  just never got around to it.  So this past weekend, Brant prepped and I painted it a soft white.  Painting furniture is hard, and to get it to look perfect, well lets just say we settled for a shabby chic look to the finished project. It is for Little Miss Abby's room and I plan on going with the shabby chic look and painting some roses on the mirror and head board along with some decorative touches around the room.
