Here is some more work from my classes at the quilt retreat. The class was Picture Quilts taught by Sharon Malec. I used a patterns from her book The Dog Lady Goes Wild. I finished the head and trunk of the elephant in class and cut out one ear last night. Can you believe there is not one bit of stitching on this yet.......
If Sharon is ever in your neck of the woods, sign up for her class. Her technique on "free standing applique" is fantastic. My brain is on overload with all of the ideas I have for using this technique in my work.
