Up on the design wall...

Why does a cold seem to suck every bit of creativity from my body? I am well on the way to recovering from the flu, just a bit of a stuffy nose still hanging around but I have not felt the need to be creative at all. I nearly have to force myself to work on something when normally I feel compelled to create.
I have keep working on the two major pieces and both are close to being finished. The Prairie Church has all of the pre quilting details done and I have it ready to be basted and quilted. A few details will be added after quilting. I hope to have it completed at the end of the weekend.

I worked out a plan for the quilting based on the siding on the actual church but I think it may need some revision because there are just too many details.

I also have kept working on my Sunflower quilt. It still needs some shading done with the fiber. Here is a close up of the texture...

The church piece is looking wonderful. I hope I get to see it in person when it's done. Regarding your previous post, I can picture one local beading shop, but where are the others?

Both are looking really, really GOOD! I love the way you use yarns.

I love the beauty of the detail in the sunflower quilt and the simplicity of the church design.

I had the flu this year too, it was a nasty one!

I have come back for a few peeks at your sunflowers, they are just beautiful!

Looking forward to see what you do with the church piece. I have always loved seeing the country churches.
