Knitting seems to be my craft du jour these days. I finished up the Traveling Woman scarf/shawl that has a bit of a lacey touch. Not being much of a lace expert, in the process of blocking, I found a stitch I had dropped (ugh) and that I had bound off much too tightly and lost all of the scallopy edges that I adored about the pattern. After a day of letting the darn thing sit I decided to redo the bind off and see if that fixes the problem.
My next project to get started is a darling winter cap for Abby from the great designers of Dale of Norway. photo credit: bouclee on Ravelry
Oh, I do have several other projects, silently hanging out in my knitting bag, on the needles and nearly done, but not seem to be speaking to me right now. So I will continue to ignore them as well and start something new.
I had visions of this hat and matching sweater in beautiful shades of lavender (like this Sugar Plum Swish DK from Knit Picks) This was my favorite color growing up, walls bed spread, sheets, you name it I had it in lavender. but alas I am feeling far to practical these days and dug through my ever growing stash to see if I had anything that would work. Which landed me with this color palate to try out the project.....
Who knew I had such nice selection of Wool of the Andes from Knit Picks. I may opt for a darker green, but I think the buttery shades for the main color will work nicely. It is a worsted weight, and the pattern calls for sport, so I will see how it goes.

What totally adorable children!!!
Every second with them is precious because wow is this stage fleeting.
The knitting sounds just perfect for right now, too....
