Catalog Inspiration

A few weeks ago I received the latest Crate & Barrel catalog and this caught my eye.....an ornament chandelier....

Nice,  but for $40 I thought it was a bit pricey for what you got and I knew my crafty self could come up with something..... 

Metal floral motif regularly $30 but it was 1/2 at Hobby Lobby....

Picked up some double jump rings for $3 and the rest (wire, fishing line, wire cutters and pliers) I had on hand.

I hung the metal floral motif directly off of the light above the table using 4 hooks I fashioned out of wire. 

then came the stringing of the ornaments.  I tied a knot in each end of each piece of fishing line and secured a double jump ring over it, added a hook to the top and the bottom and ta da....

It is one of those things one could futz with for hours to get a nice grouping of the ornaments and I still think I could use a few more but overall I am thrilled how it turned out.
