Home is the Quilt.....

President's Day has become the day I get the bulk of the work done on my entry for the Alliance for American Quilts Contest entry. 

Here is what I have so far for the 2012  the theme is  Home is where the Quilt Is.....

I am playing with the idea of how bricks and mortar are like fabric and thread both making up a home.  I don't know if I quite achieved what I had in mind.  Maybe because I usually add embellishment and I am just not sure if this quilt needs it or it is just me wanting to add more.  Maybe this would be a good background and add something to the foreground.  Arrgh, I dont know,  better just let it sit and simmer for awhile....
