Playing with Plaid

I have always loved plaids.  When visiting Scotland as a young girl,  I was intrigued that each family had their very own tartan.  With my French-Canadian ancestry and the last name of Rouleau, I was out of luck in having history choose one for me.  I guess that means I get to pick my own.  If that is the case then argyle would be high on my list.  I love how each diamond is connected to the next and there can be an infinite amount of variations of color choices.
I have been playing around with various argyle patterns and working them in to my next mitten pattern.
