Well, after pondering and digging through my stash, I found a few pinktaupes that my fix my vase. I have it pinned in place but I think I will let it sit for a day or two and see if I like it as much when I come back to it.....
From your previous photo of the original vase, I didn't think it looked bad. You have established a light source with a shadow on the table top, so realistically you were correct in your placement of one. Think in terms of the shadow being a cool color instead of gray.

well, i'm sure liking it. clicked on for a closer view, and just treated myself for a while.
I love the addition of the pink. Great "Fix"!
